I haven't sent a message for a long period of time, are there any precautions to take before restarting my campaigns?

Yes!

If you have not sent any messages for several weeks, it is strongly recommended that you resume sending messages at a progressive rhythm.

Why? Because email operators can detect a suspicious flow that consists of receiving a lot of emails from a sender that has been inactive for several weeks. As a result, they are more likely to classify your message as "spam" or refuse to accept it.

A few nuances depending on your situation:

  1. Your file is in a limited volume (1,000 / 2,000 contacts): the mixing of domains (you do not normally send 2,000 emails to the same domain!) means that your mailings remain under the "critical" volume. You can resume as normal.
  2. You use a dedicated IP: you are in the most critical case! Dedicated IP gives you a better deliverability than shared IPs. Nevertheless, you are alone on your sending server. Contrary to a shared platform where, if you have not done any sending, others have probably done it, your volume will go from 0 to much more. It is this behavior that can be detected as suspicious by an operator and cause your blacklisting.

In the latter case, we recommend that you resume your mailings by following the startup guide given to you when you subscribed to your Dedicated IP ("Premium") package.
Do not hesitate to contact us if you no longer have them or if you have any doubt!

If you are on a shared subscription plan (not "Premium"), mailings must still be resumed gradually.
Try to limit yourself to 1,000 / 2,000 emails per day for the first few days, you can then increase crescendo.

In any case, do not hesitate to contact us!
We will analyze your sendings together and advise you on the best method to restart your sendings safely!
